Make EnquiryPVDF, Polyvinyledene Fluoride is a highly non reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is also called as HYLAR.
PVDF is a special plastic material from the fluoropolymer family. PVDF coating is a special purpose coating that can be used in various applications that require highest purity, strength, resistance to solvents, acids, bases and for low smoke generation during a fire event.
PVDF coatings are easy to melt when compared with other fluoropolymers because of its low melting point of around 177˚C. Also it has a relatively low density and involves low cost when compared with other fluoropolymers.
PVDF can be injected, molded or welded and most commonly used in chemical, semi conductor, medical and defense industries as well as in lithium ion batteries.
PVDF, Polyvinyledene Fluoride is a highly non reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is also called as HYLAR.
Halar is nothing but a brand name for ECTFE (Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene). It is a fluorocarbon based fluoropolymer, a kind of plastic. It provides high impact strength, chemical and corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range of -76˚C to 150˚C.
Coatings made from HALAR provide excellent chemical resistance and electrical properties to equipments that are operating at the temperatures up to 300℉. These are best suited for full vacuum applications.
HALAR is one of the most chemical resistant polymers that are available today. Some luminous characteristics of HALAR which meets the industrial demanding applications:
Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) is also a fluorocarbon based polymer, a kind of plastic. ETFE is a thermoplastic copolymer that is derived from the polymerization of Ethylene and Tetrafluoroethylene monomers. This resin is extremely tough and abrasion resistance. It was designed to have high corrosion resistance, low coefficient of friction and strength over a wide temperature range. In addition to this it has a high melting temperature and does not emit toxic fumes when ignited.
ETFE coating is a proven fluoropolymer in the chemical and petrochemical industries. ETFE is renowned for its unique properties and design versatility. It has the ability to solve the toughest material problems of industrial equipments and components.
ETFE coatings provide excellent resistance to attacks by chemicals and solvents that can cause rapid deterioration of other plastics. ETFE is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic bases, halogens and metal salt solutions.
In addition to this ETFE coatings will have excellent mechanical strength, stiffness and abrasion resistance. It will be an ideal in such applications where abrasive slurries accelerate wear and degradation of alternative materials.
Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) is a copolymer of hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. It is relatively a soft thermoplastic with lower tensile strength, wear resistance and creep resistance than any other engineering plastics. However, FEP coatings are chemically inert and have a low dielectric constant.
Important applications of FEP coatings are linings for pipes, linings for chemical equipment including roll covers, cable applications, aircraft wire, plenum cable, fire alarm cable and well logging cable. FEP film is also used as glazing in solar energy collectors.
PFA is abbreviated as Perfluoroalkoxy Polymer Resin is a type of fluoropolymer with the properties almost similar to that of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). But it is melted using conventional injection molding and screw extrusion techniques. PFA coatings share the useful properties of PTFE as coefficient of friction and non reactivity but are easily formable.
Ruby Red PFA Coating is having a special filler which improves permeance resistance of chemical compared to regular PFA coating hence it gives a better life.
PFA offer similar properties to that of FEP but is considered more of a premium resin. PFA coating is ideal when extended services are required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal and mechanical stress.
PFA coating is not degraded by systems that are commonly encountered in chemical processes. It is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic bases, inorganic oxidizing agents, salty solutions including some organic compounds as organic acids, anhydrides, aromatics, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, esters, ethers, chloro carbons, fluorocarbons and some combinations of the above.
PFA coatings that are applied on carbon steel or stainless steel have a continuous service temperature ranging between -60℉ to 400℉. A primer is compulsory before applying the PFA coating. There is a little bit of draw back for PFA coatings, if ones damaged, they cannot be repaired. Heat is required to cure the coating.
HDPE Coating is used for storing organic & inorganic acids, water treatment, plating & brine.
PP Coating used for storing corrosives, including sulfuric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric acids, caustics, sodium hypochlorite, etc
